SIRONA" web application for healthcare professionals in the canton of Bern

We are happy to inform you about new digital services in SIRONA - the web application for healthcare professionals in the Canton of Bern.

OKP approval for individuals

Healthcare professionals can now apply for cantonal authorization for compulsory health insurance (OKP) in SIRONA.

Medical, psychology and non-university healthcare professionals who wish to bill the OKP independently require personal authorization for the OKP. This can now be applied for digitally and securely in SIRONA. SIRONA supports healthcare professionals with information and technical assistance. Information on OKP admission for individuals can be found on the website of the Health, Social Affairs and Integration Directorate (GSI): Admission to OKP for individuals

BAB and OKP approval in one application

A combined application is now available for the license to practice the profession (BAB) and the OKP license.

Healthcare professionals who wish to apply for both an AOD and a personal OKP authorization for the Canton of Bern can submit a combined application in SIRONA. For this purpose, healthcare professionals can continue with the registration of applications for admission directly after registering their AOD applications. SIRONA simplifies the application process and automatically copies data that has already been entered to avoid duplicate entries. Information on the AOD can be found on the GSI website: Professional licenses
