Rooms that touch: How architecture shapes our well-being and experience

Architectural psychology examines the interactions between people and the built environment. This is because our well-being and mental health are influenced by the way we perceive and experience spaces. Understanding this interaction provides insights into how spaces can be developed to be not only functional, but also emotionally appealing and health-promoting.

Architectural psychologist Martina Guhl is now offering a further training course on this subject at the IAP.

The course is aimed at architects, psychologists, designers or interdisciplinary professionals who are interested in the design of living spaces.

Advanced training: Topic sexual medicine, May 22-24, 2025

Sexuality is both a salutogenic resource and a pathogenic source. However, this is rarely addressed in the healthcare system. There are many reasons for this: there is often a lack of basic knowledge or professionals are sometimes confronted with shame.

The training course "Sexuality in medical and psychological work" is intended to provide an overview of the entire field of sexual medical indications and to allay participants' fears and shame so that they can address this topic appropriately.

Organized by: Charité Berlin, Checkpoint Zurich and Arud Center for Addiction Medicine
