The "Mental Fitness" offer from AXA Insurance
After almost a year of negotiations, AXA Insurance and SBAP have reached a joint agreement that will enable SBAP psychologists to bill preventive services for AXA supplementary insurance customers from 2024. AXA will cover 75% of the costs up to a maximum of CHF 500 within three calendar years.
Invoices may only be issued for "psychological health counseling". This means that the client does not have a psychological illness and the health advice is provided with the aim of promoting health. No anamnesis for basic insurance benefits may be carried out as part of "psychological health counseling".
- Invoices must be issued in accordance with tariff 595 and tariff number 5025 for "psychological health counseling" without psychological illness value and with the aim of promoting health.
- Billing takes place per session using the billing number 5025 in the recommended XML standard.
- The GLN number is a mandatory field. The existence of a ZSR number is not a prerequisite for invoicing.
- The diagnosis field is not filled in. Invoicing takes place in the TG system (Tiers garant).
Important to note: Compulsory benefits under the Health Insurance Act (KVG) are not covered by supplementary insurance. You will find an invoice template in the member area.
AXA will initially use the SBAP Finder to check whether you are an SBAP psychologist. We therefore encourage you once again to register in the SBAP Finder.
In the future, AXA will build a search tool to help its customers find the right psychological advisor. If you would like to be searchable via this tool, you have to register for it. To do this, you must enter the necessary information on the Microsoft Forms. We will send the information to AXA at the end of each month.
