Adjustments to psychotherapeutic training

On 25.06.24 we received the following information on psychotherapeutic further training from the BAG:

"We are pleased to inform you that, as of July 1, 2024, training centers that are recognized by the SIWF as training centers category A or B within the framework of a specialty (geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy, consultation and liaison psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy, psychiatry and psychotherapy of addictive disorders) will also be included in Article 50c letter b number 1 KVV.

For admissions from 1 July 2024, psychological psychotherapists will therefore also be recognized as having worked in institutions with a focus category A or B as an admission requirement. In addition, reference is made to the revised further training program "Specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy" in the new version of 1 January 2024."
