Difference between order and regulation

The order has been required for basic insurance (OKP) since 01.07.22 and determines the number of sessions of non-medical psychotherapy. The prescription is now required by many supplementary insurances (ZVV). This currently includes the following insurers: Agrisano, Aquilana, Assura, EGK, Groupe Mutuel, Helsana, KPT, Sanitas and SWICA. The regulation does not require a diagnosis and does not specify a session limit. It is merely a medical certificate confirming the need for non-medical psychotherapy. There are different cost caps for supplementary insurance, which are usually set for a fixed period such as a calendar year.
