I am 61 years old and still feel young as a therapist. I have now about 25 years of professional experience in different institutions like the psychiatric university hospital Burghölzli in Zurich or the children's hospital in Aarau, where I worked as a ward psychologist and in the liaison and consiliary psychiatry as a psychologist. I understand the psychological side of chronic somatic illnesses, but I am also versed in psychotherapy for psychoses that are accompanied by medication. In addition to all my other skills in the therapeutic field, I am also a specialist psychotherapist in the trauma field, (SIPT/DIPT), a couple and family therapist and a child and adolescent psychologist.

I work directly and openly with patients on their problems and involve them in the healing process by trying very hard to empathize with them and to orient myself to their life goals that might make them happy, and to approach the disorder from this goal. An honest and friendly dialogue is important to me, even if therapist and patient do not always have to agree.

I feel committed to my ethical guidelines of the professional associations of the SPAB. and the FSP and act accordingly. I orient myself professionally to my training as a conversational psychotherapist, child and adolescent psychologist, couple and family therapist, trauma therapist and emergency psychologist and to the international guidelines of the ICD-10 and DSM IV.
