Self-assertion workshopChallenging and tense situations can arise time and again in the day-to-day work of psychologists. In this course, participants learn how to deal with aggressive behavior professionally and safely. The focus is on de-escalation and self-assertion, with both permissive and directive interventions being taught. In addition, techniques for setting verbal and non-verbal boundaries are developed to help send clear and confident signals. A particular focus is on personal safety: how can you recognize potentially escalating situations at an early stage? How can you protect yourself and others? Participants are given practical tools to remain capable of acting in difficult encounters and to defuse conflicts in the best possible way. |
